Understanding the Gold Price

The gold spot price represents the current market price at which gold can be bought or sold for immediate delivery. It is determined by trading on global exchanges and updates continuously during market hours (Monday-Friday, 06:00-21:00 CET).

Gold is traditionally priced in US Dollars per troy ounce (31.1035 grams). The EUR price shown here incorporates the live USD/EUR exchange rate. Premiums charged by dealers (including GoldPenthouse) are added on top of the spot price to cover manufacturing, logistics, and business costs.
